The coastal community of Shore Acres in St. Petersburg, Florida is on the east coast of Pinellas County. Beginning from Mangrove Bay and Tanglewood into Old Tampa Bay, it is connected to Snell Isle and Northeast Park by bridges. Shore Acres features many homes located on canals and even directly on Tampa Bay. You’ll find single family homes in Shore Acres with the majority ranging in size from three bedrooms to over five bedrooms. There are currently over 2,200 residences in Shore Acres primarily built between 1970 and 1999, but the area does have a some homes built as early as 1949. While Shore Acres homes are located in a flood zone that requires flood insurance, many homeowners here find it worth it to be so close to the Bay.

The Shore Acres neighborhood is also a great place to ride bikes, go fishing, walk the dog or go for a run. Also there is an aquatic facility with one wade pool perfect for toddlers, plus a six lane pool, covered playground, half court basketball court, picnic shelter and there are a variety of programs for youth, teens and adults.
