There isn’t any specific food street, but there are enough restaurants in the area to serve the residents and visitors with a spectrum of cuisines. A majority of restaurants in Cortez are located near the Cortez Road West and a few other eateries, pubs, and cafes are located on the waterfront towards the south. Some of the famous restaurants in 34215, Cortez Bradenton include The Seafood Shack Marina, Bar & Grill, Tyler's Homemade Ice Cream, Swordfish Grill, and O'Shucks Raw Bar & Grill.

Educational Institutes

Since the area is primarily serving a small community and mostly comprises of a commercial area, it doesn’t have any educational institute. However, as it is well connected to both the Island Area and the main Sarasota, it’s not a big deal for the residents to get to quality schools in the neighborhood. In the near proximity, you can find some of the best elementary schools, high schools, colleges and even contemporary vocational training centers.

Shops and Commercial Area

Cortez Market, Sea Hagg, The Treasure Chest, and Cortez Fishing Center are the most prominent shops of the area. Other than these, there are a large number of resorts and RV cottages that serve the tourist community. People who want a great location on a budget choose to visit the Cortez area instead of Anna Maria as not only it is pocket friendly, but it also gives them quick access to other popular attractions sites in Sarasota. Some popular resorts include Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort and Holiday Cove RV Resort.

Religious Centers

Although the area lacks any major religious centers, you can find some eminent churches just a few miles away from 34216. You can reach the nearby churches within 5 minutes as they are directly connected to Cortez Road West. On the east, you can find the prominent churches such as the Cortez Road Baptist Church and Andrews Christian Church whereas on the north west you can find Harvey Memorial Community Church.

Parks and Recreational Centers

Cove Sound Moorings, Bradenton Boat Club, Cortez Cove Boatyard & Marina, and N.E. Taylor Boatworks are some of the places that further magnify the charm of the waterfront location. At these places, you can find multitude of services, games, and water sports. Besides these places, there isn’t a park or any other place in the town for recreational activities.
