Lakewood Ranch is one of my favorite areas.  Every single time I venture out that way, I discover something new. This place is HUGE!

I recently showed property in Watercrest, one word. Spectacular.  There are 19 buildings with units that range in size from 1900-2500 sqft. To make it even better, each unit has a view of Legacy golf course and the 160 acre Lake Uihlein. On the first floor you will find a spacious 2 car garage and on the second floor the luxurious unit itself.  There's also a community recreation center which gives off the resort type lifestyle.

You will find plenty to do as well!  Ball fields, playgrounds, and pavilions for picnics set the tone for a family atmosphere.  There's also 150 acres of wetlands and woodlands, perfect for…

One of the biggest challenges real estate agents face is managing the expectations of potential buyers . Many of our buyer clients are from out of town and are made up retirees, vacation home buyers and those looking to relocate to the Sarasota/Bradenton areas. Many of them are not familiar with our real estate market so sometimes their expectations are out of line with their budgets.

Yesterday, one of my agents was telling me about a potential buyer coming to town that wanted a three bedroom condo on the beach with magnificent water views for $150,000. In this situation this buyer pretty much needed to add a zero to their price since these properties can easily be $1,500,000. We get inquiries like this all of the time. That is ok. It is our job to…

1977 Mid Ocean Circle, Sarasota

Professional photos being taken today!

This custom-built pool home is centrally located in the Forest Lakes community of Sarasota, offering a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom split floor plan, and a large screened in lanai area for enjoying the year round outdoor Florida life style. In 2010 all windows, as well as the garage door were replaced, allowing for greater protection and energy efficiencies during the hotter months.  The property features carpet throughout with the exceptions of linoleum in the kitchen, and tile in both bathrooms and the hallway. The tile roof on the property adds to the property’s curb appeal within this (deed-restricted) community of well-kept custom-built homes. The large screened in lanai area…

Moral of this little nugget. Remember, even when you are not wearing your Realtor hat, you're still representing the Realtor community.  You never know where new clients will come from, or who is watching or listening.  Act wisely.

I will always remember when Andrea and I unintentionally met. I'm a very firm believer in right place at the right time, and everything for a reason.  This is one of my many favorite stories.

Quick background.

I was out with some girlfriends celebrating inevitable endings & new beginnings. The guest of honor (I will call her Piper) married at 22, young love.  We've probably all been there.  The relationship was great in the beginning. They were "the couple" that everyone wished they could be. Not too long into…

Have you ever had one of those mornings? Ya know, the kind that make you want to climb back in bed? On this particular Tuesday morning, I could have climbed back in bed. Honestly, I probably should have. BUT something fueled me to press on full steam ahead. I'm so glad I did.

My passion for this industry was powerfully validated that morning over a cold cup of coffee. Now, one may ask how selling real estate is even the slightest bit comparable to a cold cup of coffee, but hear me out. My hopes are, that in sharing my run on sentences that formulate this life of mine, you too will find inspiration from a cold cup of coffee.

I set the timer on my coffee pot every night. I suppose there is some security in knowing that when my alarm screams at me at…
